Connecting Business Systems & Applications to AI
Secure connections from the apps you already run — CRM, ticketing, email, and line-of-business tools — into agents, voice, and automation.
Overview
AI is only useful if it can reach the work
Connecting business systems and applications to AI is the plumbing that makes agents, voice, and automation real. Without it, you get a chat window that cannot see a ticket, an invoice, or a calendar. We treat integrations as a first-class service — scoped credentials, least privilege, and a record of what was called.
Typical sources are the tools NYC metro operators already live in: help desk and PSA, email, CRM, file stores, and the one line-of-business app nobody wants to replace. We map those first so the model is not guessing from a paste-in prompt.
What we put in place
- An inventory of systems the first workflow actually needs
- API, webhook, or approved connector access — not shared personal logins
- Least-privilege credentials and a place they can be rotated
- Read vs write rules for each system
- Logging of calls so a failed sync is visible
- A rollback path when an integration should be paused
In Practice
Why the integration layer comes early
Agents can take action
Tool access is how an agent looks up a record or opens a ticket instead of asking the user to copy-paste.
Voice can write intake
A call is only useful if the result lands in the same queue a person would have used.
Automation stays honest
Workflows fail in obvious ways when a connector is down — better than silent drift.
Security is part of the design
Scoped tokens and audit beat dumping a full database into a public model endpoint.

Connecting business systems & applications to AI
How we connect without boiling the ocean
We do not integrate every app on day one. Discover names the two or three systems the first job needs. Design documents the fields, the write rules, and who owns the credentials. Deploy ships that slice with monitoring. The rest of the stack — agents, voice, a local server — consumes the same connections.
If policy says data cannot leave your network, the same integration work can target a local AI server instead of a shared public endpoint. That choice is an implementation detail, not a separate product island.
