Local AI Server Install & Management

On-prem or private-cloud hardware you control — installed, hardened, and managed so models and data stay on a stack you can point to.

Overview

Private infrastructure when control matters

A local AI server keeps models and data on hardware you control — on-prem or in a private cloud. We handle install, hardening, updates, and day-to-day management so the box stays useful after go-live, not a one-time science project in a closet.

This path is a fit when policy, performance, or data residency rules out a shared public endpoint. Agents, model training, and automation can run on the same stack. MicroSky's AI Services engagement is how we decide whether you need that box now or after a first cloud-hosted workflow is proven.

What we put in place

  • Hardware or private-cloud sizing for the first workload
  • Install, OS hardening, and network placement
  • Model runtime and access controls
  • Backup and update process you can operate
  • Monitoring so disk, GPU, and service health are visible
  • A runbook for restart, patch, and who to call

In Practice

When a local server is the right call

Data stays on your side

Prompts and documents do not have to leave the network you already manage.

Predictable performance

Inference is not competing with a shared public queue at the worst hour of the week.

One stack for agents and training

The same box can host an agent runtime and later model-training jobs if that is the plan.

Managed after install

Updates, backups, and access changes are part of the service — not a weekend leftover.

Local AI Server Install & Management

Install is the start, not the whole job

Discover covers what must stay local, what can stay in existing SaaS, and where the server will live. Design includes power, network, and who has admin access. Deploy is the install and the first working endpoint. Optimize is patching and capacity as usage grows.

A local server does not replace connecting business systems to AI — it is where those connections can terminate. If you do not yet need private hosting, we can still implement agents and automation on a hosted path and revisit hardware when policy requires it.
